Fairytales

Fairytale Plays
for children

Fairy Tales are transformational stories. They follow girls on their journey to becoming  women and boys on theirs to becoming men. They address issues about life, its challenges and teach essential life skills on how to overcome them. Children need fairy tales!

Galli International Theater performs fairy tales in a modern and lively way. We offer the following fairy tale plays:

The Frog Prince
The princess loses her precious golden ball, a present from her father. To get it back, she must make a promise to a frog. Parents and children alike love this funny fairy tale with its strong message of how to overcome fear.

Little Red Riding Hood
Based on the famous Grimm’s fairy tale about the fear of being devoured and the hope for freedom, the story follows Little Red Riding Hood as she makes her way cheerfully if not carefully to bring her sick grandmother cake and juice. As she travels through the woods she meets up with danger in the form of a wolf.

Snow White
When the magic mirror tells the envious queen that Snow White is the fairest one of all, she begins to plot her revenge. She finds shelter with the seven dwarfs but Snow White must still endure the taunts of her evil stepmother. Dramatic events take place before a prince finally brings her back to her life.

Hansel and Gretel
A girl and boy, abandoned by their parents, are lost in the woods. A witch promises them shelter but has a vicious plan. Gretel finally finds the key to liberation and overcomes the dark power of the witch.

Sleeping Beauty
Cursed by a wicked woman, the beautiful princess falls in a hundred year sleep. Only the man who comes to the right place at the right time can save her.

Cinderella
When Cinderella's mother dies, her father marries a new wife. Poor Cinderella is pushed around and laughed at by her mean stepsisters and her stepmother. But at the grand ball in the castle, the prince has only eyes for her.

Fairy Tales are transformational stories. They show growth processes. The hero experiences a transformational process and in the end will be a higher energetic personality. By watching these fairy tales children learn about energetic processes and find a way to express their feelings. In our schools today there is a lot of emphasis in educating the intellect and the body, but few know how to educate the emotions so that we are able to express ourselves clearly. I deeply believe that fairy tales are an effective way to promote growth of our emotional capacity.
